The relations between the two countries and nations have been continuously developing since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Korea in 1992.The mutual high-level visits, especially the visits of the President of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Azerbaijan and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Korea, in 2006 and 2007, have generated the new cooperation opportunities. Currently, the relations based on the mutual trust and equal rights cooperation, including dynamic political dialogue, as well as the collaboration on the economic, humanitarian, cultural, sport, educational, health and other fields exist between the two countries. The Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Korea also successfully cooperate within international organizations.

Geographically-located at the juncture of the different cultures and civilizations, along the ancient historic Silk Road, Azerbaijan is the vivid country distinguished by its multiculturalism and religious tolerance values, as well as the fascinating nature, delicious cuisine and magnificent music.
