Azerbaijan to host 7th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations
On April 25-27, 2016, the 7th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations will be held in Baku city of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The UNAOC 7th Global Forum with the theme of “Living Together in Inclusive Societies: A Challenge and A Goal” will harness the multiple perspectives of various sectors to meet the challenge of, and progress towards, inclusive living in today’s increasingly diverse societies.
UNAOC will utilize this forum to address these challenges by focusing on “Preventing Violent Extremism” and “Best Practices in Social Inclusion” in two plenaries. The two Plenary Sessions will have a duration of two hours each, with 5 participants from various sectors and a moderator, followed by a Q&A session with the audience. Breakout Sessions will last for 1.5 hours, and will have 6 panelists and a moderator.
The Forum will provide a platform to discuss the way forward to build societies based on genuine respect for everyone’s rights including freedom of belief, equal opportunities, and good governance as well as an inclusive framework of tolerance and respect for diversity. These sub-themes have obvious resonance with UNAOC activities, which will be further explored in breakout sessions and networking sessions with current and potential partners.
The Expected outcomes of the Forum are as follows:

The global consolidation of UNAOC as a platform for the theme of Living Together in Inclusive Societies; the discussion of relevant best practices; and ways to overcome the challenge and goal of living inclusively together.

A Baku Declaration where the UNAOC Group of Friends will issue a declaration on the imperative of Living Together in Inclusive Societies. A round of consultations will take place prior to the Forum on the suggested text.

New partnerships between UNAOC and other entities.

Launching the UNAOC Advisory Council and etc.

2016년 4월 25-27일 제 7회 국제연합 문명 연대 글로벌 포럼이 아제르바이잔 바쿠에서 개최된다. “통합사회에서의 공생: 도전과 목표”라는 주제의 제7회 국제연합 문명 연대 글로벌 포럼은 현대 점점 증가하고 있는 다양한 사회에서의 생활을 향한 진보와 도전에 부응하기 위해 여러 분야의 다양한 관점을 활용할 예정이다
국제연합 문명 연대는 이번 포럼의 2번에 걸친 총회에서 “폭력적인 극단주의 방지”와 “사회적통합의 모범경영”에 주목하며 도전에 대해 다룰 예정이다. 2번의 총회는 다양한 분야의 5명의 참석자들과 사회자로 이루어져 각각 2시간에 걸쳐 진행되며 총회 후 청중들과의 질의응답 세션이 이어진다. 브레이크아웃 세션은 1시간 반 동안 진행되며 6명의 토론자와 사회자가 참여한다.
포럼은 다양성을 위한 관용과 존중의 체계를 포함해 적절한 통치방식, 균등한 기회, 믿음의 자유, 모두의 권리를 위한 진정한 존중을 기반으로 한 사회건설을 위한 논의의 발판을 제공할 것이다.
포럼의 예상 결론은 다음과 같다:
