26 December has been declared as a Day of Mourning in the Republic of Azerbaijan

On 25 December 2024, Embraer 190 aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines, with operating flight number J2-8243, flying from Baku to Grozny, directed to Aktau due to an emergency landing requirement and tragically crashed near the city, resulting in numerous human casualties.

Based on the respective Order signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, December 26th has been declared as the National Day of Mourning.

The Embassy will open the Book of Condolences for signing at its premises (address: 63, Itaewon-ro 45-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul) on Thursday, December 26th, from 12:00 to 17:00 and on Friday, December 27th, from 11:00 to 17:00.
